Disk Quota Setup

Edit /etc/fstab

Add the “grpquota” and “usrquota” to the fstab file in the export directory.

[root@grow-prod ~]# vi /etc/fstab

/dev/md2                /export                 ext3    grpquota,usrquota,defaults        1 2
/dev/md1                /var                    ext3    defaults        1 2

sysfs                   /sys                    sysfs   defaults        0 0

Update 411.

[root@grow-prod ~]# cd /var/411/
[root@grow-prod 411]# make clean
[root@grow-prod 411]# make

Remount /export.

[root@grow-prod 411]# mount /export -o remount

Create Quota Files

Create aquota.user and aquota.group files. -c (create files) -u (users) -g(group)</fc>

[root@grow-prod 411]# quotacheck -cugm /export
[root@grow-prod ~]# quotacheck -avugm

Edit Users Quotas

Set the soft and hard disk quotas to 19 & 20 GB.

[root@grow-prod ~]# edquota user_name

Disk quotas for user user_name (uid 1):
  Filesystem                   blocks           soft              hard     inodes     soft     hard
  /dev/md2                         32       19922944          20971520          8        0        0

Edit Grace Period

[root@grow-prod ~]# edquota -t
